Dangote refinery drove Nigeria’s petrol supply in August as NNPC refineries remain shut — Report

A report by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) indicates that the Dangote refinery drove Nigeria's petrol supply in August 2026. Domestic refining activity increased, with crude oil receipts by domestic refineries rising 17 per cent to 683,000 barrels per day. Petrol imports fell 26 per cent during the same period. The report notes that NNPC refineries remained shut.
