The Nigerian military's Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), intercepted Boko Haram fighters migrating to a new location in Yobe State during a night ambush. Troops apprehended four suspected Boko Haram fighters and recovered a vehicle, ammunition, and other logistics items. Additionally, 11 terrorist fighters surrendered to the troops, and nine suspected drug dealers were arrested in a separate operation. Captain Mohammed Goni, acting Military Information Officer of OPHK, stated that these successes were recorded as sustained military operations continue to degrade terrorist capabilities and deny criminal elements freedom of action.
