Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqha Darma, has stated that about 110 million Nigerians are currently unhoused, requiring an estimated 16 million housing units to address the deficit. He made this known at the presentation of allocation letters to eligible staff of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) under the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme. Darma commended NMDPRA for supporting access to affordable housing for its workers and emphasized the importance of collaboration among government institutions to tackle the housing challenge.
