The Federal High Court in Abuja has begun hearing a suit filed by residents of Ideato Federal Constituency, Imo State, challenging an alleged plan by INEC to relocate the constituency's collation centre from Urualla in Ideato North LGA to Dikenafai in Ideato South LGA ahead of the 2027 general election. The plaintiffs, Chief Chinaemerem Udorji and Faith Umeh, are seeking to halt the relocation, which they claim was proposed without adequate consultation and based on a questionable security report. They also seek scrutiny of the conduct of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Imo State, Isa Magaji. INEC and the Attorney-General of the Federation are defendants.
