Police in Katsina State foiled a kidnap attempt and rescued seven victims during a gun duel with suspected armed bandits. The victims, including a driver and six passengers, were travelling from Kaduna State to Dutsin-Ma when the bandits blocked the road and intercepted their vehicle. The police engaged the bandits in a shootout, successfully rescuing the victims.
