The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dismantled a transnational drug trafficking network with links to Mexico, uncovering a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory in Enugu State. Two suspected kingpins, 45-year-old Chukwu Obumneme Christopher and 60-year-old Chukwu Georginus Monday, were arrested and arraigned. The operation followed months of intelligence gathering and surveillance, and the NDLEA described the syndicate as a sophisticated Nigerian-Mexican cartel allegedly established to manufacture methamphetamine in commercial quantities. The agency's spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said the syndicate operated in collaboration with a notorious Mexican drug lord, Rodriguez Villanueva.
