Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume said Nigeria's motivated and resilient Armed Forces are sustained by continued investment in the wellbeing of personnel and their families. He stated that the sacrifices and contributions of Nigerian Armed Forces personnel, whether in peace or during national security challenges, deserve continued recognition and support. Akume spoke during the official unveiling of a discount scheme for members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, organised by the Defence Headquarters in collaboration with Zinox Group in Abuja. He said the federal government recognises that initiatives improving access to essential goods and services, easing financial pressures, and enhancing quality of life are important components of a comprehensive welfare framework.
