Minister of Regional Development Abubakar Momoh has called on Niger Delta stakeholders to unite for the region's development, stating that no single institution can address its complex infrastructure, economic, and environmental challenges. He spoke in Port Harcourt at the 2026 Partners for Sustainable Development Conference organised by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). Momoh emphasised that sustainable development requires collaboration among federal and state governments, NDDC, the private sector, traditional institutions, development partners, and communities. Senator Ekpenyong sought an amendment to the NDDC Act to institutionalise a master plan, while Ogbuku unveiled a governance framework and community monitoring committee.
