Africacomicade and GIZ Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) Nigeria have partnered to expand opportunities for young Nigerian game developers and emerging studio founders through a specialised game development bootcamp and international industry exposure. The partnership, implemented through the ICT Skills for Youth initiative of DTC Nigeria, builds on support for a delegation of Nigerian games industry stakeholders who attended Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, in August. Founder of Africacomicade, Michael Oscar, welcomed GIZ Nigeria's support for the sector, noting that the growth of Nigeria's games sector has been constrained by limited resources, access to opportunities, and institutional support. The training venture aims to address these challenges.
