IGR of states, FCT rises 41% to N5.15trn

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported that Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) rose by 40.93 percent year-on-year to N5.15 trillion in 2025 from N3.65 trillion in 2024. Lagos State alone generated N1.77 trillion, representing 34.4 percent of the total, followed by Rivers State with N428.42 billion and Enugu State with N406.77 billion. Sokoto State recorded the lowest IGR during the period. The NBS disclosed these figures in its IGR report for 2025.
