FG raises N6.69bn from September savings bond

The Federal Government raised N6.69 billion through its September 2026 Federal Government of Nigeria Savings Bond (FGNSB), according to the Debt Management Office (DMO). The amount was raised through two-year and three-year savings bonds, which offered annual interest rates of 14.12 per cent and 15.12 per cent, respectively. N1.282 billion was allotted on the two-year September 2028 bond, while N5.408 billion was raised through the three-year September 2029 instrument. The September offer was open from 7 to 11 September, with settlement scheduled for 16 September, and the latest issuance brings the total amount raised through the FGN savings bond to about N40.5 billion in the first nine months of 2026.
