Tinubu to UN: Give Africa two permanent security council seats

Vice President Kashim Shettima has called for a restructuring of the United Nations Security Council, stating that Africa should no longer be excluded from permanent membership. Speaking at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Shettima demanded two permanent seats for Africa on the Council. He argued that the current structure is outdated and does not reflect contemporary global realities.
