Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has alleged that those who opposed former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 are now conspiring against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election. He made the claim during the flag-off of the Benin-Asaba palliative rehabilitation, stating that there is no vacancy in Aso Rock and that a working president should not be changed. Okpebholo said the same group that fought Jonathan's Almajiri schools initiative is now ganging up against Tinubu. He insisted that Tinubu's eight years must be completed.
