The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Katsina State, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has urged residents to use the state's 39th anniversary to reflect on the challenges confronting them and reject bad governance in the 2027 general elections. In a statement issued on Thursday to mark the anniversary, Kaita congratulated the people but said the occasion should provide an opportunity for sober reflection given the insecurity, poverty and economic hardship facing residents. He said citizens should pray for divine intervention to rescue the state from its current terrible situation. Kaita noted that a child born when Katsina was created 39 years ago would have attained adulthood, yet the state still battles insecurity, poverty and hunger.
