Comrade Akeem Shodiya, State Coordinator of a movement, has backed Yayi and Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections. Shodiya said the movement, Y.A.M., was established to mobilise support for Tinubu, Adeola and other APC candidates. The backing was announced by a former aide to Senator Iyabo Obasanjo.
