Iran has proposed to the United States a plan to end their war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, according to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Speaking in New York for the UN General Assembly, Araghchi said that if certain conditions are met, the strait would open and talks would begin. The proposal was first reported by Japanese news agency Kyodo, though Iranian media denied the report and Tehran has not clarified its position. Araghchi also met with U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff on Tuesday.
