Marcus von Kapff spent two decades at JPMorgan before becoming Detroit's chief operating officer in 2024. He has now returned to JPMorgan to work on the firm's Security & Resilience Initiative, a $1.5 trillion effort to boost strategically important US industries. Von Kapff said his public sector experience allows him to see problems from another angle as his team forges deals with the government.
