The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has set September 24, 2028, as the target date for Nigeria's domestic gas market to transition to a fully established willing buyer, willing seller framework. This was announced by the regulatory authority. The transition aims to create a more market-driven gas sector.
