The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the establishment of AAAU's Faculty of Aeronautical and Space Engineering and explore academic collaboration in Online Distance Learning (ODL). The agreement was reached on Thursday, September 24, 2026, during a visit by the AAAU delegation to ABU, Zaria, following an earlier engagement in May. The partnership is expected to deepen academic cooperation between the two universities, particularly in engineering education, postgraduate training, research, and manpower development for Nigeria's aviation and aerospace industry. The acting vice-chancellor of AAAU, Dr. Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, said the university was seeking the mentorship and technical expertise of ABU, particularly its Faculty of Engineering.
