The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Representation in Benin Makes a Donation to the ‘the House of Joy’ Children’s Shelter and Protection Centre

Ambassador Amadou Diongue, Resident Representative of ECOWAS in Benin, presented a donation to the 'House of Joy' Child Care and Protection Centre (CAPE) in Ouidah, Benin, on Monday, 21st September 2026. The ceremony was attended by Mr Fructueux Prudencio, representing the Mayor, along with representatives of the ECOWAS National Office in Benin, CAPE staff, and the children at the centre. The donation included foodstuffs, school supplies, rolls of khaki fabric, a sewing machine, hairdressing equipment, and a financial contribution of 500,000 CFA to cover tuition and training fees for vocational and apprenticeship programmes.
