Obi to editors: Hold politicians accountable, insist on issue-based campaigns

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has urged Nigerian editors to hold politicians accountable ahead of the 2027 general election. He said campaigns must focus on good governance, security, national unity and economic prosperity. Obi spoke on the second day of the 22nd All Nigeria Editors Conference in Enugu. He also called on the media to ensure political parties and candidates can campaign freely across the country.
