The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced plans to carry out annual preventive maintenance on its Gwarinpa-Suleja 132/33 kilovolt (kV) Line 2 bay switchgears and associated equipment. The maintenance is scheduled for Sept. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. According to TCN, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will experience a 20-minute interruption of power supply to customers in Suleja Township, FCT College of Education, Field Base, Zuba, Sabon Wuse and environs. The interruption is necessary to enable the transfer of load from Gwarinpa-Suleja Line 2 to Kubwa-Suleja Line 1 and facilitate the exercise without a prolonged outage.
