The Peoples Democratic Party in Gombe State has cleared Professor Isa Ali Pantami, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki and Usman Aliyu Garry to contest a fresh governorship primary election. The party's State Publicity Secretary, Abdulkadir Ahmed Dukku, announced the clearance in a statement issued on Friday. The decision follows a Federal High Court sitting in Gombe which, on Thursday, September 24, nullified the earlier governorship primary and ordered a rerun within one month. The rescheduled primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, 29th September, 2026, and the party said it received the court judgment in good faith and respects the court's decision.
