Ludoil Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ludoil Energy, has completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in ISAB from GOI Energy, following the conclusion of the Italian Government's Golden Power review. The transaction also cleared antitrust and EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation reviews without remedies. The acquisition, announced on 13 May 2026, closed in just over four months. Ludoil plans a €1.3 billion investment in the refinery, which is the largest in the Mediterranean.
