An American woman who moved to Germany four years ago has shared the biggest culture shocks she experienced. She and her husband relocated to Germany despite never having visited the country before. Among the surprises she noted were the accessibility and convenience of the public transportation system and the fact that most stores, including grocery stores, are closed on Sundays. She also observed that most places do not have air conditioning.
