Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has pledged to continue the fight against banditry in the state and ensure the return of internally displaced persons to their homes. He made this commitment while opening the 8th regular meeting of the State Executive Council. The governor noted that collaboration with security agencies is yielding positive results, with bandits being engaged more than before and livestock recovered in some areas. He cited recent successes in Rabah, Tureta, and Kebbe Local Government Areas.
