Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has called on Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike to clarify his political allegiance ahead of the 2027 elections. Lawal stated that Wike cannot simultaneously support President Bola Tinubu's re-election and back candidates of other parties. He reaffirmed the APC governors' stance on Wike's Rainbow Coalition, a platform of aggrieved politicians from various parties supporting Tinubu's 2027 bid. Wike has argued that supporting Tinubu does not require coalition members to abandon their parties or refrain from contesting against APC candidates.
