Cardinal John Onaiyekan has said that Governor Charles Soludo and others should not determine who Igbos will vote for as president in 2027. Soludo had repeatedly argued that Igbo people should not 'waste their votes' on Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, because he would not win. Onaiyekan's remarks come amid discussions about Igbo voting patterns.
