The Adamawa State Executive Council approved a supplementary budget of N169.1 billion for the 2026 fiscal year during its 16th meeting, presided over by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. The approval raises the state's total 2026 budget from N583.3 billion, which was initially passed by the State Assembly in December 2025, to N752.4 billion. Commissioner for Information and Strategy Barrister Leader Leneke stated that the supplementary budget was allocated to various ministries, departments, and agencies based on the state's needs. The council also approved several other major decisions during the meeting.
