Walmart CEO John Furner stated in a memo to employees and customers that the company will not use AI or digital shelf labels to set personalized prices. Furner was responding to questions about the company's use of new digital shelf labels and its AI-powered shopping assistant, Sparky. He clarified that engaging with Sparky is meant to serve customers better, not to use personal information for personalized pricing.
