The federal government has called for global partnership to scale up the fight against sickle cell disease, urging multilateral institutions, development partners, and the private sector to invest in country-owned systems. Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako made the call at the launch of OneSCD, a global partnership for sickle cell care, on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly in New York. He emphasized the need to move proven interventions from pilots to national scale.
