Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress and former Anambra State governor, addressed editors at the 22nd All Nigeria Editors Conference in Enugu State. He urged the Nigerian media to guide politicians towards issue-based campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections. Obi stated that he was not invited to the conference but attended because politicians naturally want to be present where national issues are discussed. He also said election riggers should go to jail.
