FCT Minister Nyesom Wike provided insights into the 2023 presidential election strategies of the G5 governors during an appearance on TVC's Journalists' Hangout. Wike explained that the G5's primary aim was to prevent Atiku Abubakar from benefiting from the South-South's traditional PDP support, even if it meant votes went to Peter Obi of the Labour Party. He noted that Rivers State was treated differently from other South-South states in their calculations.
