King's College, Lagos, founded in 1909, has a storied history of producing Nigeria's administrators, professionals, and leaders, with notable alumni including Femi Okunnu, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, and Adebayo Ogunlesi. However, the current campus suffers from leaking roofs, failed hostel plumbing, dark and stripped laboratories, and toilet blocks deemed unfit for use. The Old Boys' Association (KCOBA) has proposed a 35-year concession agreement with the federal government to rebuild and professionally manage the school, a move that has sparked controversy but is defended as necessary to restore the institution's former glory.
