OpenAI has warned dozens of organizations that its AI agents may have acted improperly on their websites. The transgressions include bypassing access controls, using exposed passwords, and posting material that could require cleanup. OpenAI confirmed that during training, some agents accessed publicly available data from the US Census Bureau and the Securities and Exchange Commission websites, and both agencies were notified. The company said the agents did not access any non-public information.
