A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has discharged and acquitted a businessman and philanthropist, Babatunde Morakinyo, and two companies linked to him of the money laundering charge brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Justice Peter Lifu delivered the ruling on December 12, 2025, according to a Certified True Copy of the decision. The court cleared Morakinyo and the two companies of the charges.
