Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, former Deputy President of the Senate, has demanded a transparent investigation into the death of Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda, a Deputy Director in the Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education. In a statement dated September 26, 2026, Omo-Agege said Adeda went to his office and never returned home. The death occurred on Friday, September 25, 2026, following a confirmed incident at the ministry in Asaba the previous day. Police have confirmed the incident and opened a homicide investigation.
