The Jigawa State Hisbah Corps arrested eight people over alleged involvement in same-sex acts following a complaint by a 22-year-old man in Kazaure Local Government Area. The complainant, a resident of Kanti area, alleged that nine individuals had engaged in same-sex acts with him on different occasions. He reportedly told Hisbah authorities that he later tested positive for HIV, which he attributed to the alleged acts, and appealed for justice. Hisbah operatives commenced an investigation and launched a search for the nine individuals named by the complainant.
