The Registrar General and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Mr. Hussaini Ishaq Magaji (SAN), has urged members of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria to translate the legal foundation and tools in the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 into measurable outcomes. He made the call in a keynote address at BRIPAN's International Conference 2026, themed 'Building an Insolvency Architecture for a New World Order'. Magaji said CAMA 2020 has given Nigeria a strong foundation and that the collective task is to translate its provisions into outcomes such as more viable businesses rescued, more jobs preserved, better recoveries for creditors, greater accountability by office-holders and increased confidence in the Nigerian economy. He identified the tools and foundation as rescue, restructuring and administration.
