Women in Rivers State have been urged to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, participate actively in elections and protect their votes from the polling unit through the collation process. The call was made by Dr. Nancy Chidi Nwankwo, a leader of Rivers Women Unite for SIM, during the group's monthly prayer meeting in Port Harcourt. Nwankwo said the group had continued to sensitise and mentor women across various local government areas on the importance of political participation and the role of the PVC. She urged women yet to obtain their voter cards to do so and advised those who already had them to keep the cards safe and use them responsibly during elections.
