The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested a married woman, Mrs Rukayat Muhammed, in connection with the death of her alleged lover at a guest house in Gwarimpa, Abuja. Commissioner of Police Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi disclosed the arrest on Saturday during a briefing at the command headquarters. He said the deceased was initially reported missing by his family before his body was found along the Kubwa Expressway by Katampe under the bridge on August 26, 2026. Sanusi said the discovery initially generated reports linking the death to kidnapping or "one chance" robbery, but investigations later established the deceased was the same person reported missing, and that his mobile phone was missing.
