OK movement insists on autonomy despite Obi’s objection to campaign council

The Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement has reaffirmed its independence and maintained that its Presidential Campaign Council remains valid and operational, despite objections from Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). In an ARISE Television interview, Obi said the OK Movement is Obi and Kwankwaso and that any action must have the express approval of both, adding that support groups should not play the role of the party. In a statement issued after the interview, National Director-General of the movement, John Ughulu, said the movement's internal structure is separate from the organisational structure.
