The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has extended the Special Passport Intervention Exercise in the United Kingdom to run from October 6 to 30. According to a statement by Service Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Immigration Akinsola Akinlabi, the NIS acted on the directive of the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, due to high turnout and sustained demand by Nigerians. The intervention will take place in London, Manchester, and Aberdeen, with the venue for Cardiff to be announced subsequently. Nigerian communities in the UK are urged to take advantage of the extension to renew their passports.
