Professor of Information Management Mustapha Momoh has called on the federal government and organisation leaders to invest robustly in creating a reliable database for the country. He also stressed that developments in digital technologies should be incorporated into education, adding that organisation managers should engage in continuous updates of their information. Momoh spoke at the headquarters of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) while delivering the university's 43rd inaugural lecture, titled 'Managing Information Sources, Utilisation and the Need to know'. The report noted that Nigeria has made various efforts, including the mandatory National Identity Number, to capture all Nigerians on its database, with limited success.
