10m cash transfer beneficiaries have no phones, social media, says APC chairman

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, has revealed that over 10 million vulnerable Nigerians who received the N75,000 conditional cash transfer lack access to mobile phones and social media. He made this known during a press briefing after a three-day retreat of the party's National Executive Council in Maiduguri, Borno State. According to Yilwatda, these beneficiaries are largely unable to engage in public discussions about government policies due to their lack of access to phones, television, and social media. The cash transfer programme is implemented under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
