Moses Simon reached a major milestone during the Super Eagles' 2-1 win over Madagascar in a 2027 AFCON qualifying clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. The Paris FC winger became the fifth Nigerian player to reach 100 appearances for the Super Eagles after coming on just after the half-hour mark. He started the game on the bench and was introduced for Akor Adams, joining Alex Iwobi as the second active Nigerian player to reach the 100-cap mark. Simon, 32, made his Super Eagles debut in 2015 after progressing from the U20 side and expressed appreciation to everyone who played a part in his journey with the national team.
