Again, Obasa in the Eyes of the Storm

Speaker Mudashiru Obasa of the Lagos State House of Assembly is once again at the center of political intrigue, this time stemming from the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Agege. Two politicians considered loyal to Obasa, Ganiyu Egunjobi and Azeez Yusuf, failed to secure the party's tickets for Agege Constituencies 1 and 2, respectively. Obasa, who himself secured the APC ticket to contest the House of Representatives election in 2027, had reportedly supported the two aspirants. Despite his intervention, Egunjobi and Yusuf could not clinch the tickets, leading to fresh political whispers in Obasa's backyard.
