Gunmen have killed at least five miners and injured two others in an ambush at a mining site in Marit village, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. The attack is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the region. Authorities have not yet commented on the motive or identified the perpetrators.
