SERAP asks CBN to account for allegedly diverted $6.23m, ₦1.63trn

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to provide an account of allegedly diverted funds. SERAP specifically asked the CBN to explain the disbursement of ₦262.86 billion under the Anchor Borrowers' Programme, including the names and number of beneficiaries and participating 'Anchors.' The request also covers other funds, including $6.23 million in election funds and ₦1.63 trillion in other public funds. SERAP's demand is part of its efforts to promote transparency and accountability in the management of public resources.
