Yilwatda backs Tinubu, defends fuel subsidy removal

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed condolences to the government and people of Niger State over the deaths of 37 suspected illegal miners in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, conveyed the party's sympathy during a briefing in Maiduguri, Borno State. The Federal Government has ordered an investigation into the deaths, and the Interior Ministry has suspended 20 NSCDC officers in connection with the incident. Yilwatda also stated that the APC is prepared for the 2027 general elections after reviewing its structures.
